Bruce Chantry started with Lincoln Electric as a Technical Sales Trainee in June of 1995. Following training, Bruce worked as a Technical Representative in the Moline, Illinois district office for 3 years and the Grand Rapids, Michigan district office for 3 years. These two assignments provided him the opportunity to work with world renowned heavy equipment manufacturers and prominent companies in the automobile industry.
In 2002, Bruce relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa as the Regional Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.. During his time in South Africa, Bruce focused on introducing some of Lincoln’s leading technologies to the marketplace to help customers improve productivity and quality.
In early 2008, Bruce returned to Cleveland as the Product Manager for the Advanced Technology welding products, specifically the Power Wave® platform of products. Bruce then became the Portfolio Manager for equipment in late 2008 and in June of 2012, Bruce was promoted to Director of Marketing – North America. As Director of Marketing, Bruce had overall responsibility for the Product Management, Marketing Communications, and Web teams. In May 2017, Bruce was promoted to Director of the Advanced Technology Products SBU and was responsible for the overall strategy and results. In May 2021, Bruce was promoted to Vice President, Marketing. In May 2023, Bruce was promoted to Vice President, Cleveland Operations. In May 2025, Bruce was promoted to his current role as Vice President, Electric Vehicle solutions.
Bruce completed Lincoln’s International Business Development program at Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2002. Bruce completed Lincoln’s Management Development Program in 2015.
Bruce earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering with an Electrical Specialty for the Colorado School of Mines.
